Qwaruba- Pamela Croft's aboriginal design

http://www.qwaruba.com/pamela.html

If you follow this link you can read about how Pamela's artwork is giving back to Aboriginal communities. In 2006 Qwaruba, which manufactures footwear, incorporated oner of her designs to be used on slippers. These slippers which I believe are currently sold out were available through REI.

Just before the end of 2007 Pamela was informed by Qwaruba that they wanted to use another design for a 2nd edition which should be available later in 2008. The first edition sold a reported 35,000.

Profits from the sale of the slippers will once again go to Aboriginal communities. When the newest edition or more info becomes available we will update here.

Thanks,

Pamela visits Atlanta Dec 2007

Pamela Croft Warcon and her husband Mark Warcon came to town and stayed with Shannon and myself prior to Christmas. They were coming to the States to visit Pamela's son David and her newest grandchild. It was great to spend some time with them and take them out to restaurants.

Prior to them heading off to Seattle I seized the opportunity to interview Pamela to fill in some gaps. Mark also sat down to talk about Pamela and Edie's relationship. So with these interviews done I think we have all that we need to finish up the Back to Brisbane documentary.

I hope to see Pamela and Mark at the airport for lunch tomorrow morning before they head back to Australia.
