Pamela sells Aboriginal design to REI
Pamela sold one of her artistic designs to REI. Proceeds from the sale of these slippers goes toward Aboriginal communities. I stopped by REI the other day to check them out. On one of the tags it has a picture of Pamela with some Aboriginal kids.

cinemATL article on documentary "Back to Brisbane"
Charles Judson of cinemATL did an article on the 7th Wave Pictures documentary a couple of months ago. What I thought would be a 30 minute interview stretched to over an hour.
cinemATL is a great online magazine that covers production in the southeast, with an emphasis on Atlanta.
Here is a hotlink to the article:

"Back to Brisbane" fiscally sponsored
7th Wave Pictures' "Back to Brisbane" was recently awarded fiscal sponsorship from Image Film and Video. What does this mean? It means that you can make a tax deductible contribution to "Back to Brisbane." This really enables filmmakers to gain access to some funding and contributions that might otherwise be difficult. It will also, hopefully, help us secure funding through grants. With the end of the tax year coming up, wouldn't you like to have another write-off and also show support for the documentary.
I will post more info on this as soon as I get everything squared away.

Welcome to the "Back to Brisbane" blog!

How exciting to have my own blog! I feel like I am late to the dinner table but better late than never. It will allow me to stay in touch and for you to find out the latest on "Back to Brisbane." If you have any questions, comments or suggestions you will be able to comment here. You probably already knew that right!?
Press releases, screenings and any pertinent information regarding the 7th Wave Picture's "Back to Brisbane" will follow.
If you haven't seen the short documentary I made called "An Artist's Journey" you can view a quicktime on the website www.anartistsjourney.com This short was the first time I actually met Pamela. I was astonished both by her story and her openness of her past. This was the impetus behind doing a feature documentary on Pamela Croft.
The picture here is at the beach in Keppel Sands at about 5am. I was hoping for the sun to pop up over the horizon but the sun was covered by clouds. You can see that it is low tide and where the wet sand blends into the ocean.
Welcome to the Back to Brisbane blog!
